first child, second child

I don't really worry about our kids having abandonment issues when they grow up, mostly because I am a second child and I haven't felt any lasting effect of not always having the attention (although I do always seem to get my way... so...)

Jane has certainly figured out a few ways to occupy her solo time.



She was genuinely surprised to see her marker-face in the mirror when I showed it to her, which was so funny. I have all of the sharp objects and scissors in unreachable places. Hopefully.

Ananyanee helped Clark. Kellie helped me. 10 kids/2 hours. Too much fun for all.

two years

Cruising the basement on her new tricycle. Which she will be able to use properly in about a year.

Two years. It really does seem like we have known Jane so much longer than two years. I know by next year she will have changed so much from her two-year-old self, which makes me want to hang onto her still-chubby cheeks, her round belly, and small fingers. Still so much to look forward to though.

p.s. one year ago. oh my goodness!

hello kitty boots

This is when her love for Hello Kitty was in full bloom (still going strong). She got these boots for her 2 year birthday. Pleased as can be.

Jane & Luke. They are always asking to see eachother and almost always locked in a battle. This was a good moment because Jane decided to share her hairbows.
