christmas '09

We did manage a little decorating with this Christmas tree idea from Sweet Paul found via the Delightful blog. I will confess that its still up on the wall because I love it.

funny story

Yesterday the exterminator stopped by our apartment (a routine thing around these parts) and when he walked in he immediately got to sniffing...

"Do you smell that?".... "That's a dead animal"... SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF as he takes heavy steps around the apartment.

"Actually, I think it's a diaper."

Good trick Jane, good trick. Don't worry, I opened some windows immediately. It's hard to keep up around here.

We like to hold her hand... she has a strong, tiny grip and can wrap her fingers around one of ours.

(We are breaking the cardinal rule by dressing our lil'girl in blue. It was laundry day... and I love blue.)

i'm on cute overload

I'm pretty sure my heart has stretchmarks.

Jane's favorite things: running water, bath-time, singing 'My Girl', her changing table, head massages, tickling my side with her tiny fingers, stroller walks, sleeping beside us, sleeping with her arms above her head, sunshine, staring contests.

Funny things: when she is ready to eat she gives me a one minute warning before meltdown. She loves to pull tricks on Dad, like wetting her diaper... just before he actually gets it on. I'm happy to see she knows where to direct her mischevious ways.

Fastest 6 weeks of my life.
